Week 1. Wiki and Typing

It's Saturday. I usually have courses on Saturdays. We read classic tales and do activities based on them. All the tasks and interactive activities I keep in Moodle. Today I created wiki for that class! (Moodle has an option for that) I am not sure if it works as I wish, but time will show :)

This led me to another thought... Some students type very slowly. I used to give them an old dos program 'Babytype' (you can download it from here). Today I found Google gadget 'type it':

It's good for competing as you can see your level and save your best results. But for learning typing using right fingers is still better the old 'Babytype' :) I think I put the code of 'type it' in one of html blocks on the side of my Moodle page just for fun and for break time and keep using the old program for learning typing. I wish I could find the new open source program for that...
